Delete your Take Point Fitness account
Last updated:
This page explains how to delete your Take Point Fitness (TPF) account, what we delete, what we keep and for how long. Take Point Fitness is made by Take Point Fitness Ltd. One account covers the website and the iOS and Android apps, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere. You do not need to have the app installed.
Delete your account yourself
- Sign in on our website, app.takepointfitness.com, or open the app.
- Tap your profile picture (or your initial) at the top right of the screen, then choose Account.
- Near the bottom of the Account page, under Delete account, tap the Delete account button.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete account.
You are signed out straight away, and the account can no longer be used to sign in.
If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@takepointfitness.com from the email address your account uses, and ask for your account to be deleted. If you no longer have that address, tell us which address the account was registered with. We may ask you to confirm the request before we act on it, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. Once it is confirmed, we delete your account in the same way as the Delete account button.
What happens, and when
- Straight away — you are signed out and locked out of the account, and any subscription you bought on our website is cancelled. (Subscriptions cannot be bought in the iOS or Android apps.)
- For the next 30 days — your data is kept in case the deletion was a mistake. To get your account back during that time, email privacy@takepointfitness.com. Your username is released straight away, so if you come back you may need to choose a new one.
- After 30 days — your account and everything stored with it is permanently deleted. We check for accounts that are due once a day. If our payment processor cannot confirm that your subscription has been cancelled, the deletion waits and is tried again each day until it can, so that you are not charged for an account that no longer exists.
During those 30 days your connections stay in place: a coach, friend or training partner you are connected to can still see what they could see before. If you want that to stop straight away, remove those connections before you delete your account.
What we delete
At the end of the 30 days we delete your account and everything stored with it, including:
- your sign-in details and profile — name, email address, username, date of birth, sex, height, bodyweight history and profile photo;
- your programs, training logs, personal bests, 1RMs, race times, test and benchmark results, and the backups of your training log kept on our servers;
- your goals, injuries, exercise preferences, training places and settings;
- everything in the Health section — blood-test results, body scans, bone-density results, check-ins and photos of health documents — and the record of the consents you gave;
- your connections and what goes with them — coach links and messages, friends, training partners, groups and leaderboard entries, and any block between you and another user;
- your answers to the “Help us improve TPF” questionnaire;
- the record of when you accepted our Terms and confirmed you had read our Privacy Notice, and of the safety notices you were shown;
- the details and results you saved on TPF Benchmark.
What we keep, and for how long
- Payment records. If you paid for a subscription on our website, Stripe, our payment processor, holds your customer record: your email address, the billing details you gave Stripe, and your invoices and payments. Deleting your account cancels the subscription but does not delete this record, because we have to keep records of payments for tax and accounting purposes — in the UK, generally for six years.
- Usage analytics. If you agreed to usage analytics, PostHog, our analytics provider, holds the usage and error records collected while you used the service, linked to your account’s internal ID. If you subscribed on our website before October 2026, it also holds a record of each change to your plan made before then; we now record plan changes without any link to your account. These are not deleted automatically when your account is deleted. To have them deleted, email privacy@takepointfitness.com — ideally before the 30 days are up, while we can still match your email address to them.
- Emails you have sent us, including messages sent with Feedback in the app’s menu, stay in our mailbox. Ask us if you want them deleted.
- Copies on your devices. The app and the website keep a copy of your training data on your phone or in your browser. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers, not from your device: to remove that copy, uninstall the app, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
- Backups and logs. Our database provider keeps backups so that we can recover from a failure, and our providers keep technical and security logs, such as records of sign-ins. Backups are replaced in the normal course, so your data drops out of them over time; logs are kept for the periods our providers set.
- The TPF Benchmark percentile pool. Results you chose to add to the pool are stored without your account, so we cannot find them to delete them; they stay in the pool.
- Email lists. If you joined one of our email lists, deleting your account does not take you off it. Use the unsubscribe link in the email, or email privacy@takepointfitness.com.
- Reports. If you reported another user, or another user reported you, the report is kept for 12 months from when it was made, as a safety record, and then deleted. If your account is deleted before then, your account is removed from the report, and the rest of it — where it happened, the reason given and anything the person reporting wrote — is kept until the 12 months are up.
- What other people hold. A coach’s own notes about you, and programs a coach wrote for you, are kept in the coach’s account, and we cannot take back what a coach, friend or training partner has already seen. Ask your coach if you want their notes about you deleted.
Delete some of your data and keep your account
- Logged training. Tap your profile picture, choose Training log, and use Wipe all training data under Danger zone. It deletes every logged set, weight and rep, On-the-Go sessions, the personal bests earned from them, your adherence history and streaks, ruck, benchmark and conditioning history, rest-day notes, and the training-log backups on our servers. Your programs, 1RMs, race times, goals, preferences, bodyweight log, profile details and training places are kept. You are asked to type WIPE and enter your password; it takes effect straight away and cannot be undone.
- Health data. In the Health section, withdrawing your consent for a kind of health data asks whether to keep or delete what you entered.
- Single entries. You can change or delete individual entries, such as a saved program or a bodyweight entry, where you made them in the app.
- Anything else — including your profile photo, which can be replaced in the app but not removed — email privacy@takepointfitness.com and tell us what you want deleted.
Keep a copy first
